Recovery Centers

The Recovery Centers are person-driven centers located in Scranton and Pottsville where persons receiving mental health services come together in an atmosphere of mutual support for the process of supporting their individual Recovery. The Centers offer members an environment where they can enhance and expand activities of self advocacy such as Peer Specialists Programs, Mental Health Advanced Directives, and Community Support Programs, as well as develop and implement educational programs on issues relating to mental wellness and Recovery.

Members of the Recovery Center must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Members are required to complete a brief demographic sheet, which includes identification of their mental health provider(s) and an emergency contact.

Scranton Recovery Center

Monday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Saturday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Sunday: Closed

Friendship "7" Social Club

Founded in 1962, the Friendship "7" Social Club, offers a safe, supportive environment in Lackawanna County for persons in the community who have a mental illness or emotional problem to come together, socialize, and enjoy activities. The Friendship "7" Social Club meets on Tuesday evenings at the Recovery Center in Scranton, 825 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton, PA 18510. Pottsville Recovery Center
